Zainteresowania badawcze

Peter (PK) Jonason jest profesorem nadzwyczajnym na Uniwersytecie w Padwie (IT) i Uniwersytecie Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie (w trakcie habilitacji). W pierwszym z nich specjalizuje się w psychometrii, w drugim w psychologii ewolucyjnej. Doktoryzował się z psychologii społecznej na Uniwersytecie Stanowym Nowego Meksyku (USA) w 2009 roku, studiował również antropologię biologiczną, nauki o komunikacji i nauki polityczne. Jest światowym liderem w dziedzinie ewolucyjnej psychologii osobowości, strategii doboru płciowego, różnic płciowych, seksualności i podejmowania decyzji na początkowych etapach związków romantycznych/seksualnych. W 2014 roku zdobył nagrodę Ignobel za pracę łączącą cechy Mrocznej Triady ze skłonnościami ludzi do bycia „sowami”. W 2018 roku założył Australasian Society for Human Behaviour and Evolution. W 2019 r. otrzymał stypendium ULAM z NAWA, a w 2020 r. stypendium OPUS z NCN. Dziś, wraz z globalną siecią współpracowników, jego praca koncentruje się na podejmowaniu decyzji moralnych, preferencjach partnerów, uprzedzeniach i cyberpsychologii.
